Travelling to Taiwan is now so much easier with lesser requirements

Effective 15 June 2022 Taipei Time, these are the latest requirements travelling to Taiwan.

Foreign Nationals (ARC Holders- Resident Visa excluded)

Credentials :

  1. Open to all purposes of entry
  2. Migrant worker must also hold re-entry permit

Requirements:

  1. Covid-19 RT-PCR negative test report issued within 2 days prior to departure time (based on “specimen collection date” counting 2 calendar days backwards from scheduled departure time, excluding the flight date)
  2. The day of arrival counts as Day 0. All travellers are required to undergo a 3-day home quarantine and 4-day self-initiated epidemic prevention following the end of quarantine. All travellers are required to arrange their location of quarantine prior to arrival and follow other requlations and instructions by Taiwan Centers of Disease Control.
  3. Special Entry Permit (Visitor Visa) issued by R.O.C (Taiwan) overseas mission

Foreign Nationals (Non-ARC Holder)

Credentials :

  1. Traveler who obtains entry permission for emergency or humanitarian reason.
  2. Spouse or underage child of Taiwan national.
  3. Student who obtains permission from Ministry of Education.
  4. Spouse or underage child of a ARC holder (ARC holder as migrant worker, student will not be applicable.)
  5. Business traveler

Requirements:

R.O.C Taiwan Nationals

Requirements:

  1. Covid-19 RT-PCR negative test report issued within 2 days prior to departure time (based on “specimen collection date” counting 2 calendar days backwards from scheduled departure time, excluding the flight date)
  2. The day of arrival counts as Day 0. All travellers are required to undergo a 3-day home quarantine and 4-day self-initiated epidemic prevention following the end of quarantine. All travellers are required to arrange their location of quarantine prior to arrival and follow other regulations and instructions by the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control.
