
Fully Vaccinated Travellers travelling to Brunei from 15th June 2022 onwards
- From 6 May 2022 to 31 October 2022, fully vaccinated foreign national with 1 dose for Johnson & Johnson vaccine OR with 2 doses for all other vaccines are allowed to enter Brunei.
Starting 1 November 2022, fully vaccinated foreign national travellers with 1 dose for Johnson & Johnson vaccine OR with 2 doses for all other vaccines are only allowed to enter Brunei if travellers have obtained second dose of COVID-19 vaccine not more than 3 months or have obtained booster dose prior to the date of entry to Brunei.
2. Foreign nationals travelling to Brunei for short visit purpose and are staying less than 90 days are required to obtain a Travel Medical Insurance from Brunei-based or overseas insurer with COVID-19 coverage of minimum BND 20,000. The insurance should be valid for the duration of stay in Brunei.
Foreign nationals who will be entering Brunei for long-term visit such as employment, studying or as eligible dependent are exempted from being required to obtain Travel Medical insurance with COVID-19 coverage.
3. Complete an E-Health Arrival Declaration Form (ADF) not more than 24 hours before departure to Brunei.
Unvaccinated travellers travelling to Brunei from 15th June 2022 onwards
Unvaccinated foreign nationals are not permitted to travel to Brunei Darussalam. However, entry into Brunei Darussalam may be considered if they have obtained Certificate of Medical Exemption for COVID-19 vaccination.
Unvaccinated foreign nationals that have permit to enter Brunei must adhere to the following:
- Travelling to Brunei for short visit purpose and are staying less than 90 days are required to obtain a Travel Medical Insurance from Brunei-based or overseas insurer for the with COVID-19 coverage of minimum BND 20,000. The insurance should be valid for the duration of stay in Brunei.
Travellers who will be entering Brunei for long-term visit such as employment, studying or as eligible dependent are exempted from being required to obtain Travel Medical insurance with COVID-19 coverage.
2. Foreign nationals who are required to obtain Entry Visa for entry into Brunei Darussalam must first obtain appropriate Visa in accordance with prevailing regulations that are enforced such as Employment Visa, Dependent Visa, Social Visit Visa, Professional Visit Visa and Business Visa.
3. Complete an E-Health Arrival Declaration Form (ADF) not more than 24 hours before departure to Brunei.
4. Make advanced online payment of BND 100.00 for the post-arrival COVID-19 tests from BruHealth Portal.
Obtain a ‘Government of Brunei Darussalam’ or ‘Ministry of Health’ payment receipt stating the traveller’s name and passport number.
Upon arrival in Brunei, foreign national travellers are required to:
Step 1: Perform ART upon arrival (being day of arrival as Day 1).
Step 2: ART test can be done by travellers themselves when they arrive at their isolation accommodation (homes or hotels).
Step 3: Serve their mandatory self-isolation and remain within home residence or hotel accommodation until they receive negative result of their Day 3 post-arrival RT-PCR test.
Step 4: Perform RT-PCR test on Day 3 after arrival.

*Step 5: If unvaccinated foreign national travellers are tested positive for COVID-19 upon arrival, travellers are required to undergo a period of isolation in compliance with existing health protocols.
